Get the taste of local traditional MSG-free steamboat at Steamboat Cheery!
Steamboat Cheery was started in March 2014 by Mr Jason Tay.
Due to his business contacts, Mr Tay is able to procure a large supply of fresh lean pork (“chiak bak”) daily.
This quality lean pork is the key ingredient to broil Steamboat Cheery’s delicious and wholesome soup broth.
With such this a superior stock, no MSG is needed or added.
Steamboat Cheery’s style is a traditional Singaporean home-cooked steamboat – the kind Grandma would prepare for the family’s Chinese New Year reunion dinner.
Steamboat Cheery aims to bring the taste of the traditional homely steamboat to diners.
Our ingredients are also sourced daily from local markets – try our fresh lean pork, chicken or live prawns, or our bamboo prawn stick.
Steamboat Cheery is located at Blk 63 Kallang Bahru in a bright and cheerily renovated coffeeshop.
The total seating capacity is 200 and we have tables for as many as 10 people – so large groups are OK
